Hope In The Home

Where are the rescuers? You say,
And where, you say, is hope?
I'm hanging on by finger tips,
As I'm sliding down this slope,
I can't get a foothold,
I can barely cope,
But hang on just a little longer,
We're here to bring you hope:

Hope is where the home is,
We're bringing hope into your home,
And if your hopeless or homeless,
You don't need to feel alone,

We're bringing hope home,
To where it does not roost,
Wherever it is,
That hope needs a boost,
Where there's darkness we bring light,
In the power of his name,
Bringing dignity and honour,
In place of the shame,

Where there is mourning,
We bring dancing,
And where there's despair,
We're changing the tune,
To a song of praise, there,
Will be no more mourning ,
No crying or pain,
Where we're going,
We declare it In Jesus Christ's name,

And on earth there's a taste,
Of the goodness to come,
Here and now you can know hope,
In the name of God's son,
You can know power,
And victory won,
Whoever you are
Whatever you've done,

The lost and abandoned,

The orphaned, neglected,

The overlooked and abused,

The defamed and rejected,

The drunks and the junkies,

The thugs and the thieves,

Those who have nothing,

Nothing left to believe,

Those who are rich,

Rich enough to know,

That inside they're poor,

Though they never let it show,

The gamblers and addicts,

The unloved and unsung,

The indebted and desperate,

The dreamers rudely awoken,

Before the dream has begun,

The single mothers,

The fatherless child,

The homeless and helpless,

The lost and exiled,

The kicked about, kicked out,

Locked out, shut the door,

The knocked about, knocked out,

Knocked down to the floor,

The kicked in, the victim,

Can't take any more,

With all this hell being mixed in,

Crying 'why' and 'what for?'

I say whoever you are,

I say whatever you've done,

If you're someone's daughter,

If you're someone's son,

Listen,

You can know peace,
You too can know hope,
We'll give you a hand,
We'll pass you the rope,

Here you go, Here it is,
Are you ready? take hold

It's God's love,
Take it,
It's free and not sold,

It's not bronze or silver,
It may be free... but it's gold,
You may be lost sheep, but don't lose sleep,
But he left 99 others to bring you into the fold,
 Don't weep, that'll keep,
All you need to do, is ask him into your soul,

Jesus, I'm sorry
I know I've done wrong,
I want to change my tune,
I want to sing your song,

I want to feel hope
I want to know your love,
I'll stop looking around
And start looking above,

Jesus, I trust you,
You died and rose for me,
I want to live for you
To be with you
Eternally

Please change me,
Rearrange me,
Forgive me, Make me yours,
Fill me with your love
I'm opening my doors,
I'm getting rid of old ways,
I'm saying no more to sin,
I'm tired of messing up my way,
So Jesus please, come in,

So, there it is, there you go,
There's a chance to grab the rope,
Connecting with Jesus,
Is connecting with hope,

Don't be afraid, to take his hand,
This hope won't disappoint you,
He'll pour his love into your heart,
In fact he will anoint you,
That's a picture of how Israel appointed their kings,
But instead of pouring oil on you,
He'll pour out his Spirit, Make your heart sing,

You are loved more than you know,
Loved as loved could be,
Let love fill your lives,
And the truth will set you free,

And remember, God hears you and sees you,
You are not alone,
He's there, ready and willing,
To bring his hope home
